A netizen called out a post from the official page of Arjo Atayde
The official Facebook page of Quezon City First District Representative Arjo Atayde shared photos of the relief operations he conducted.
Arjo started his political career in 2022. He received full support from his family and his wife, Phenomenal Star Maine Mendoza. When a recent controversy surfaced, his loved ones also rallied behind him.
Arjo was dragged into the anomaly behind the flood control projects. Contractors Sarah and Curlee Discaya accused him of receiving kickbacks. After Arjo’s denial of having an encounter with the couple, photos of them circulated online.
Amid the allegations that he was involved in the anomalous flood control projects, Arjo Atayde reportedly distributed relief goods on Saturday, September 20, for his constituents.
Based on the post on his official Facebook page, which was shared on September 20, the relief operation happened on that day.
“Ngayong araw, isinagawa ang relief distribution para sa mga resident ng Barangay Sitio San Isido Bagong Pag-asa/Brgy. Project 6,” the post stated.
However, a netizen on X, formerly Twitter, pointed out that the event actually happened on September 5. It was based on the Facebook posts of the barangay captains.
“I love you still Arjo but i’m for transparency. The date when it actually happened, posted by Cong Arjo FB not same with the Brgy Captains. Maybe your staff made an error so please check on it,” the netizen wrote in the caption.
It can be seen in photos from Arjo Atayde’s post and the ones shared by barangay captains that he was wearing the same shirt, and the people with him in the photos also wore the same clothes. The barangay captain of Bagong Pag-asa even had a Facebook live at that time.
As of this writing, the actor-politician has not yet shared his reaction to this matter.
