Rufa Mae Quinto Speaks Up on Allegations Over Husband’s Death Benefits
RUFA MAE QUINTO – Social media buzzed with claims that Rufa Mae instantly withdrew her husband’s funds, but she insists the truth is far from these accusations.
Rufa Mae Quinto has addressed speculations surrounding the passing of her husband, clarifying circulating rumors regarding her financial matters.
In a 21-minute vlog posted on her official YouTube channel, the actress and comedienne spoke candidly about her marriage to Trevor Magallanes, their life together, and the challenges she faced following his death earlier this year. Among the issues she confronted were claims that she immediately accessed or collected her husband’s money.

“Marami pong nag-isip na masaya ako dahil kinubra ko yung pera niya,” Rufa stated, directly refuting the accusations. She stressed that her relationship with Trevor was centered on love and family rather than material wealth. “Kami po ni Trevor nag-asawa po kami para bumuo ng pamilya. Late na ako nag-asawa kasi sinigurado ko na yung mapapangasawa ko ay habang buhay,” she added.
The actress went on to clarify that finances were never a source of conflict between her and Trevor. “Yung mga nag-iisip na kumupit ako, or nagkubra ng pera, or nag-withdraw sa bank account, eh una, mag-asawa po kami, hindi po kami nagkaproblema sa pera kahit kailan dahil simple lang po ang buhay namin,” she explained.
Rufa also shared that Trevor had thoughtfully arranged their benefits to ensure the welfare of their daughter, Athena, and herself. “Hanggang sa huli, ako po at ang anak ko ang inayos niya ang benefits namin,” she revealed. Still, despite these preparations, she admitted that the process has been lengthy. “Wala po akong nakuha kahit magkano. Wala pa. Marami po kasing prosesyo yan,” she clarified.

In her vlog, Rufa expressed dismay over the false assumptions but emphasized that she and Trevor lived a simple and happy life without financial disputes. She underscored the strength of their bond and the peace they shared as a couple.
While coping with grief and public scrutiny, Rufa Mae Quinto firmly defended herself, stressing that honoring her husband’s memory and ensuring the well-being of their daughter are what matter most.
