Actress Cristine Reyes expressed her admiration for former Vice President and the current Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo.
Cristine’s political affiliation is known to many showbiz enthusiasts. She is friends with Senator Imee Marcos. The actress also openly campaigned for the Senator’s candidacy.
Cristine also played the role of Sen. Imee in the movie Maid in Malacanang and Martyr or Murderer, both directed by Darryl Yap. The movies tackled the life of the Marcoses hours before the People Power revolution and the incidents that transpired after that.
However, Cristine’s recent post could be a surprise to many people. It is because she featured Mayor Leni Robredo, the 2022 presidential elections opponent of Sen. Imee Marcos’s brother, President Bongbong Marcos.
In the caption of her post, Cristine Reyes expressed admiration for the Former Vice President. “Special thank you to the honorable and well-loved Mayor of Naga City, Mayor Leni Robredo, for her inspiring leadership and gracious welcome. Gratitude as well to Raffy Magno of Angat Buhay for taking such good care of us,” the actress wrote.
Cristine was present for Ms. Bicolandia 2025, and she served as one of the judges. She was also with her rumored boyfriend, Gio Tingson, a former chairperson of the National Youth Commission (NYC).
The rumors linking Cristine and Gio started circulating in June. It was said that she found a new love months after her breakup with Marco Gumabao. Their photos together surfaced online, and they became more visible together. In an interview last August, Cristine Reyes said that her love life is happy, but she is choosing to make this part of her life private.
With the recent post that she shared on her Instagram page, netizens could not help but think that this was a sort of soft launch.
