Here’s what Rufa Mae Quinto chooses to do after the death of Trevor Magallanes.

Following the death of her husband, Trevor Magallanes, Rufa Mae Quinto chooses to focus on her daughter and healing from this difficult time.

Actress and comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto is still grieving and going through emotional torment following the death of Trevor Magallanes, her husband. This report came as a shock to many, and months prior to this, they confirmed their separation.

After reports about his death, she and their daughter flew to the United States. In a previous article, as they have finally confirmed his death, Rufa left a promise to her husband, saying, “I promise to take care of our daughter , we can’t stop thinking of you . Mahal ka namin officer Magallanes.”

After completing the necessary arrangements in the US following his death, the comedienne returned to the Philippines. While life goes on for her, her posts reflect the deep sadness she continues to feel over his passing.

At present, she is devoting her attention to their daughter, striving to remain strong and healthy for her, as the child is only eight years old.

“Unang-una yung sarili ko para maalagaan ko yung anak ko na 8 years old. So para lumaki siya na masaya kasi alam mo iyon parang siyempre basically my husband passed away so, kailangan kong alalayan, more more time for her para gabayan siya,” she said.

Keeping herself busy with work also helps her cope with grief. She needed to be happy for her daughter, and she needed to carry it well, as she is not just doing it for herself, but for her daughter as well, who lost her father at a young age.

She is also giving importance to her health and well-being. Rufa remains determined to raise Athena with hope and positivity, despite the recent loss their family has endured.

Meanwhile, Rufa Mae and Trevor tied the knot in 2016 through a private ceremony in Quezon City. In December 2024, Trevor went public with the news of their separation and disclosed that divorce proceedings had begun. Since their marriage took place in the Philippines—where divorce is not legally recognized—they remained legally married at the time of his passing.
