House Speaker Martin Romualdez Greets PBBM on his 68th Birthday
MARTIN ROMUALDEZ – The House Speaker issued a message for President Bongbong Marcos who is celebrating his 68th birthday today.
The late former Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Sr. and current Pres. Bongbong Marcos share the same birth month. Marcos Sr. will supposedly celebrate his 108th birthday last September 11 and an even in honor of the late former President was held. Today, Marcos Jr. turns 68 years old.

First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos took to social media a heartfelt message for Pres. Bongbong Marcos on his 68th birthday. Calling the President her “partner in everything”, the First Lady expressed her gratitude for the adventure, the laughter, and the moments that she and her husband have shared together.
The First Lady also expressed her immense love for her husband. She posted a collaged photos of them together. They are married for 32 years now and were blessed with three (3) sons — Ilocos Norte Congressman Sandro Marcos, Simon Joseph Marcos, and William Vincent Marcos.

Presidential cousin and House Speaker Martin Romualdez led the Philippines in celebrating the 68th birthday of Pres. Bongbong Marcos. He issued a message for the Chief Executive and reaffirmed the support of the House to him.

In his message, based on a report on News5, House Speaker Martin Romualdez claimed that he is deeply honored to work alongside Pres. Bongbong Marcos. According to him, Marcos Jr.’s leadership brought inspiration for unite and resolve when the country is faced with both trials and opportunities.
“Mr. President, your leadership has inspired unity and resolve at a time when our nation faces both challenges and opportunities. Sa bawat hakbang ng Bagong Pilipinas, ramdam ng bawat Pilipino ang direksyon at kalinga na inyong itinataguyod,” Romualdez said.

Based on the report, House Speaker Martin Romualdez assured Pres. Bongbong Marcos that the House of Representatives is committed to being his a partner that he can depend on with regards to governance. According to him, together, they will make sure that the laws passed answer to the needs of the Filipinos.
“On this special day, the House of Representatives reaffirms its commitment to being your reliable partner in governance. Together, we shall ensure that laws passed under your administration truly address the needs of our people and secure a legacy worthy of future generations,” the House Speaker said.
The name of the House Speaker is one the names of government officials mentioned in the testimony of controversial contractors Pacifico and Sarah Discayas who claimed that some government officials and officials of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) allegedly receive kickback from flood control projects. The President has ordered the creation of an independent body that will probe the infrastructure projects funded by the government.
Amid the issue, the camp of House Speaker Martin Romualdez insisted that Mr. Discaya himself claimed having no direct transaction with the Speaker during a House flood probe.
