Bela Padilla was asked about this political topic

Multihyphenate Bela Padilla admitted that she does not agree with 99 percent of the ideologies of her uncle, Senator Robin Padilla.

Bela belongs to one of the most popular showbiz clans in the Philippines. Even though she’s technically a “nepo baby,” she proved that her talent, wit, charm, and personality are the factors that have brought her to where she is now in the entertainment industry.

Aside from her beauty and acting caliber, Bela offered her talent in writing and directing to her fans, which opened more doors for her in showbiz.

In a recent interview on the YouTube channel of veteran journalist Karen Davila, Bela Padilla was asked if she always agrees with the stand of her relative Senator Robin Padilla.

The actress’s straightforward answer was, “I don’t. I don’t. Actually, I don’t think I agree with 99 percent of the things he has been fighting for recently, or the things he, the ideologies he has.”

However, Bela stressed that they are two different people. She said that her Tito Robin is a Muslim and she grew up observing the Jehovah’s Witnesses’ beliefs. For her, when it comes to this aspect, religion plays a big part. Bela also said that the base of their principles is already different.

On the other hand, the actress said that her Tito Robin is one of the nicest and kindest people she knows. Bela shared that the Senator is nice and very generous.

He has such a good heart, but I would do things differently,” she said, and reiterated that they were different people.

In the same interview, Bela Padilla was asked about her breakup with Norman Ben Bay, who was her boyfriend for 4 years. The actress admitted that it was because of her decision to go back to the Philippines after living in London. She understood that Norman did not want to settle in the Philippines, because if asked the same thing, she would not want to settle in Europe as well.
