Here are the total expenses of VP Sara Duterte for her local and international travels.
The Office of the Vice President (OVP) revealed that VP Sara Duterte spent this amount for local and foreign trips as of July 2025.
At a press conference, Office of the Vice President (OVP) budget division chief Atty. Kelvin Gerome Tenido revealed how much the trips of Vice President Sara Duterte cost for the first seven months of the year, or as of July 2025.

According to reports, the OVP spent ₱20.68 million to cover Duterte’s security and close-in personnel. Of this amount, ₱13.207 million was allocated for local travels, while ₱7.473 million went to foreign trips.
“More or less around P20 million has been obligated for the travels of the OVP, including the expenses of the security personnel and the civilian personnel,” Tenido said.
The amount spent on local trips accounted for about 40% of the OVP’s 2025 budget allocation, while expenses for foreign travels made up roughly 25% of the office’s budget for the year.
OVP Assistant Chief of Staff Lemuel Ortonio, however, clarified that Duterte pays for her own personal expenses when traveling abroad. Ortonio said, “We’d like to emphasize that all the travel overseas of the Vice President is covered by a travel authority and did not include any public funds, did not use any public funds.”
Halfway through the year, the vice president already had multiple trips abroad, some of which were personal. She went to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and led the 127th Philippine Independence Day celebration. It was part of her mandate as the President of the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO).
After Malaysia, VP Sara flew to Australia, a personal trip to lead the “Free Duterte Now” gathering on June 22. She had also been to The Hague in late May and then flew to Qatar, Malaysia, and Australia.
