Kaye Abad Opens Up About Paul Jake Castillo’s Family Values That Inspire Her
KAYE ABAD – While many might expect extravagance from a wealthy clan, Kaye Abad shared how her in-laws live with simplicity and practicality at the core.
Actress Kaye Abad recently expressed her admiration for the parents of her husband, Paul Jake Castillo, during an interview with Melai Cantiveros on Kuan on One. She described her in-laws as kind, down-to-earth, and generous, despite their family’s prominence.
“I’m very lucky to have them as my in-laws,” Kaye said, emphasizing how grateful she is to be part of their household.

According to the actress, Paul Jake’s parents have remained simple and unpretentious regardless of their achievements. “Mabait sila and they are very simple. Hindi sila ‘yung mayayaman na may engrandeng bahay. Sila very simple, very practical family,” she explained.
The Castillo family manages a well-established pharmaceutical and consumer goods company in Cebu. Even with this success, Kaye pointed out that her in-laws instilled discipline and the importance of hard work in their children, including Paul Jake.
“Na-appreciate ko ang father and mother-in-law ko because they raised their children very well. Silang magkakapatid sina Paul Jake, [they told them] na mag-work talaga kayo. Di ba ‘yung ibang mayayaman na may family business, ‘yung iba maghihintay na lang na tumangap ng dividend. Ang mother and father-in-law ko sila talaga, ‘Hindi. Mag-work talaga kayo para may maipamana kayo sa inyong kids,” she said.
Kaye also shared how her in-laws extend their kindness and generosity beyond their family, including their household staff. She recalled that during the aftermath of Typhoon Odette in Cebu, they made sure their helpers received assistance. “And very, very generous sila, very helpful. Kahit sa mga helpers namin, di ba nag [bagyong] Odette sa Cebu, tinulungan talaga nila lahat ng helpers namin, very generous talaga sila,” she recounted.
Since tying the knot with Paul Jake in December 2016, Kaye has settled in Cebu with her husband and their two children, Joaquin and Iñigo. Her heartfelt remarks about her in-laws highlight not only the gratitude she feels toward them but also the strong principles and values that she and Paul Jake are now instilling in their own family.
