Authorities Arrest 2 Men After Robbing Teenager in Quezon City
Two men were arrested after robbing a 17-year-old girl who was walking along Rivera Street in Barangay Sangandaan, Quezon City.
On early Thursday morning (September 4, 2025), the suspect was caught on CCTV robbing a female teenager in Quezon City around 3 a.m. the CCTV footage became key evidence in tracking down the suspects.
The video showed a motorcycle carrying three men passing by the area. Moments later, the victim appeared on camera, walking alone. The suspects circled back, cornered her, and forcibly took her wallet. The girl fell to the ground and shouted for help before running away.

“Habang naglalakad ang ating victim ay sinalubong po siya at pwersahang kinuha ang kanyang wallet nung mga suspek,” said PLt. Col. Siriban.
The victim, along with her parents, went to Talipapa Police Station 3 later that day to report the incident. Using previous police records, the teenager was able to positively identify one of the suspects.
“Nung pumunta po dito nagreklamo yung ating victim pinakita po namin yung mga previous records namin na may previous cases sa robbery at may tinuro po siyang isa na positively identified niya at agaran po yung follow up natin hanggang sa mahuli po yung ating mga suspek,” Siriban added.
Authorities immediately launched a follow-up operation and managed to arrest two of the three men involved, aged 26 and 20.
Police said the 26-year-old suspect had previous records involving theft and illegal drugs. Both men admitted to committing the crime, claiming that they were driven by poverty and desperation.
They are now under police custody and facing robbery charges, while authorities continue to search for the third suspect. Unfortunately, the victim’s stolen wallet was not recovered.

Police reminded the public to be cautious when walking alone, especially late at night, to avoid becoming targets of crime.
The young victim is now safe, but the traumatic experience serves as a warning about the risks of walking alone during the early hours of the morning.
