Julius Babao shared an appreciation post for his true friends
Veteran journalist Julius Babao shared a quote about true friends amid the recent issue about his vlog featuring businesswoman Sarah Discaya.
Julius has been in the broadcasting industry for many years. He is one of the most respected news presenters. His career as a reporter/news anchor started big on ABS-CBN. Currently, he is one of the anchors of TV5’s news program Frontline.
Aside from his regular news program, Julius also does vlog interviews on his YouTube channel. Just recently, his past vlog featured Sarah Discaya and her collection of luxury cars.
Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto called out Julius Babao, as well as veteran journalist Korina Sanchez, for their interview with the businessman who is being linked to the alleged anomalous flood control projects.
The mayor alleged that the two veteran journalists received a huge amount of money to conduct those interviews. Both Julius and Korina denied the allegations against them and stressed that it was a lifestyle feature and not an investigative report.
Amid this issue, netizens also recalled a clip of Julius’s wife, Christine Babao, in which she promoted “Team Sarah” of Sarah Discaya, who ran for mayor against Mayor Vico.
Julius received bashing because of this issue. However, he and Korina were defended by their fellow journalist Arnold Clavio, who challenged Mayor Vico to prove his claim.
In a recent Instagram post, Julius shared a quote about having true friends. “A real friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out,” the quote from Walter Winchell stated.
In the caption of this post, Julius expressed gratitude for his true friends. He said that now, he knows who they are. “Maraming Salamat sa pagmamahal at pag-unawa ng mga TUNAY na kaibigan! Ngayon alam ko na kung sino kayo. God Bless You All!” the veteran journalist said.
Julius Babao deactivated the comment on his Instagram page.
