DILG declared Walang Pasok on August 26, 2025, Tuesday.

WALANG PASOK August 26, 2025 – The national government suspended classes in Metro Manila and in these provinces on Tuesday.

Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Sec. Jonvic Remulla made some developments on Monday regarding work and class suspensions on Tuesday, August 26, 2025. Classes and government work were suspended in Metro Manila and 19 other provinces on Tuesday, Aug. 26, due to inclement weather.

Based on the initial list, classes in private and public schools at all levels, including government work, are suspended in the following:

  • Metro Manila
  • Aurora
  • Quezon
  • Rizal
  • Laguna
  • Camarines Norte
  • Camarines Sur
  • Albay
  • Sorsogon
  • Catanduanes
  • Masbate
  • Northern Samar
  • Eastern Samar
  • Leyte
  • Southern Leyte

In another post, more provinces were added to the list, such as:

  • Bulacan
  • Nueva Ecija
  • Pampanga
  • Batangas
  • Cavite

According to the weather update from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), there’s a low pressure area off Eastern Visayas that is affecting several parts of the country.

The southwest monsoon or habagat is also bringing rains to several areas.

According to the update from PAGASA, heavy rainfall due to the LPA is expected in:

  • Today to tomorrow afternoon (August 26)
    • (50-100 mm):
    • Aurora, Quezon, Laguna, Rizal, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Albay, Sorsogon, Catanduanes, Masbate, Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, Leyte, and Southern Leyte
  • Tomorrow afternoon to Wednesday afternoon (August 27)
    • (50-100 mm):
    • Aurora, Bulacan, Quezon, Nueva Ecija, Rizal, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Albay, and Sorsogon

Heavy rainfall due to the habagat is expected in:

  • Today to tomorrow afternoon (August 26)
    • Moderate to Heavy (50-100 mm):
    • Palawan and Antique
  • Tomorrow afternoon to Wednesday afternoon (August 27)
    • Moderate to Heavy (50-100 mm):
    • Occidental Mindoro, Palawan, Antique, and Negros Occidental
  • Wednesday afternoon to Thursday afternoon (August 28)
    • Moderate to Heavy (50-100 mm):
    • Palawan, Antique, and Occidental Mindoro
