Martin Nievera had a recent hosting experience
Concert Kin Martin Nievera shared his experience hosting the fan meet of South Korean superstar Hyun Bin.
K-drama and K-pop have so many fans in the Philippines. This is the reason why many stars in South Korea would visit the country and conduct their meet-and-greet events, aside from concerts and other show promotions.
Just recently, Hyun Bin, who starred in one of the most popular K-dramas, Crash Landing On You, came to the Philippines, and a fan meet was held at Solaire.

The event was hosted by Martin Nievera. Based on the article in PEP, the Concert King, who is also known for his high-caliber hosting talent, shared his experience meeting and hosting for Hyun Bin’s fan meet.
Martin said that the Korean fan meet is different, and there were a lot of things that were prohibited, unlike the usual thing in the Philippines, where stars would just sign autographs and take some selfies.
“Hindi ka puwedeng lumapit sa kanila so I was very nervous. Hindi puwedeng mag-picture-picture. Ang daming bawal pero kay Hyun Bin mismo, okay lang,” the seasoned singer said.
He also said that the rules were to protect Hyun Bin, but little did he know that Filipinos are the best fans. “When we love, we love unconditionally and we’re not violent. We’re not crazy people and we know everything about you!” Martin added.
The Concert King shared that he was asked to do a talk show format during the event and Hyun Bin was surprised by this, but he definitely had a great time.
Martin felt nervous because of the thought that he was not just the host, but also someone who represented Solaire. He did not want to look like he was not a polished host or someone who was fanboying. He had the thinking that Hyun Bin should also know about him and that respect would be there.
“I’m the Solaire ambassador. I have been for the last twelve years and they’re getting him to be another ambassador so we’re kind of in an equal playing field, di ba? So I wanted to look like I know exactly what I am doing, and I didn’t know what I was doing. May translator pa,” Martin shared.
With this, there was a delay in the question and answer, but the Korean actor was so warm and happy. Hyun Bin was also grateful for his Filipino fans and the treatment he got from Martin and the team behind the event. After the event, the security whisked him away, but the Korean actor took time to hug and thank Martin Nievera.
