The daughters of Nadia Montenegro defended her
Actress Nadia Montenegro received praise from her daughters, Ynna, Alyana, and Alyssa amid the recent issue.
Nadia became a trending topic on social media and news sites after she was accused of smoking “mary jane” in a ladies’ room inside the Senate’s premises.
The actress was the Political Affairs Officer of Senator Robin Padilla. However, when she submitted her statement to explain what happened, she also resigned. Nadia, on the other hand, stressed that this was not equivalent to admission. She noted that she was to take care of her mental health amid the issue that also affected her children.
Nadia Montenegro was also criticized because, with her position as the Senator’s Political Affairs Officer, she was under Salary Grade 24, and her credibility was questioned.
Following the bashing that she received, Nadia’s daughters defended her. Ynna Asistio said that their mom is their greatest source of strength. She stressed that they don’t expect everybody to love their mom, as she knows that it is a fact that one can’t please everybody.
“And in this fight, we choose to surround Mama with love, truth, and real support,” Ynna added.
For Alyana Asistio, what people have done to their mom will no longer be erased, and the pain will not be taken away. She also highlighted that their mom gave up two years for her job, which she was committed to. Alyana mentioned that her mom gave more than what was required because she loved what she was doing.
She added that this issue affected their family so much, and they were hurt that their mom was being accused and doubted. Alyana also expressed love and support for their mom.
Nadia Montenegro’s daughter, Alyssa Asistio, pointed out that their mom worked tirelessly. “She was a loyal, responsible EMPLOYEE with a HEART!” Alyssa said. She also said that they lent their mom to the people to experience how caring she is, and because their mom loved doing this.
“Ngayon, you return her to us broken, her name tarnished, her reputation shattered, her dignity crushed. ANG HIRAP MONG MAHALIN PILIPINAS!” Alyssa said.
