Heaven Peralejo received bashing for being a replacement in this series
Actress Heaven Peralejo reacted to her bashers who criticized her for being the lead actress in the series I Love You Since 1892.
Heaven has already done several series in which she was the leading lady. For her most recent acting project, her leading lady role was not initially offered to her.
In 2018, ABS-CBN Entertainment had already teased this project. A teaser poster was released featuring Janella Salvador and Marlo Mortel as the lead stars.
Janella and Marlo worked together in the 2012 hit series Be Careful With My Heart. With their supposed onscreen reunion, the MarNella fans got excited. However, years have passed, and the project was put on hold.
In July, it was announced that I Love You Since 1892 will push through, but it would no longer feature Janella and Marlo. Heaven Peralejo and Jerome Ponce were introduced as the lead stars of the series.
This garnered reactions from netizens who had been waiting for this project with the anticipation that this would be a MarNella project.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Bandera, Heaven shared that she saw some negative reactions. She shared this with her leading man and the production team.
The actress was happy that she was reminded why she is part of this project. “Oo nga, aktres ako. Ito yung job ko. Mahal ko yung trabaho ko and I shouldn’t be contained with one character na ang ganda-ganda ng istorya,” she said.
Heaven also stressed that she knows that she did her one hundred percent to this project, and hesitations should not be there. She realized that she should have confidence in herself, in her co-stars, and in their director, and that they had done their best for this.
“So, hindi tayo magpapatinag. Ito ay ginagawa ko bilang Carmela at Carmelita, itong proyekto na ito. Iniaalay ko ito, of course, sa ating Diyos, sa management, and sa mga taong nagmamahal. Du’n tayo dapat nagpo-focus. Dapat positive lang tayo,” the actress stressed.
