Kris Aquino Opens Up About Latest Health Battle & Urgent Tests
KRIS AQUINO – Queen of All Media Kris Aquino shared through Instagram that her latest medical tests prompted doctors to take immediate action.
Kris Aquino is once again under hospital care after receiving “alarming” results from her latest blood panel. On Tuesday, August 19, the television personality updated her followers on Instagram, sharing a glimpse of her current condition.
In the post, Aquino appeared on a hospital bed, speaking with a medical professional, while her son, Bimby, was seen asleep beside her. Along with the photo, she recounted the events that led to her admission.
“I came in for the second dose of my Rituximab. I was prepared in the sense that we already knew all the protocols we would all need to follow. I have to give a big shoutout to [Dr. Geraldine Zamora] because she saw something in my blood panel results that she found alarming,” Aquino wrote.
“She convinced me to have an ultrasound done yesterday; with all my hospitalizations, I can already tell that I should be worried when the senior technician comes in,” she added.
The actress, who has been diagnosed with 11 autoimmune conditions, said she recently consulted three different specialists. They all stressed the urgency of her case and the risks if she delayed treatment.
“Doctor NC told me that he doesn’t do procedures unless they are necessary but this is something all my doctors discussed—why does Kris Aquino get these difficult to detect possible health time bombs not once but twice in her lifetime and because of the first, we now all know she’s allergic to all blood thinners,” she explained.
Although presented with a less invasive alternative, Aquino chose to put her full trust in her Filipino doctors. “I had the non-invasive option explained to me, but I chose to literally trust Filipino doctors with my life rather than take medicine that I am unsure of especially because I just finished a big dose of a strong immunosuppressant and I am continuing with two immunosuppressants and so much more supplements, antihistamines, and important vitamins,” she shared.
Kris Aquino then appealed for prayers, saying: “Wag sana kayo sumuko sa pagdasal dahil kumukuha ako ng lakas galing sa kabutihang loob ninyo.”
Previously, Aquino disclosed that she would undergo six months of preventive isolation. At present, she resides in her family’s compound in Tarlac after staying for two months at a private beach property provided by a “kind and generous family.”
