Pres. Bongbong Marcos visited Ormoc City
President Bongbong Marcos mentioned in a speech the kindness of Ormoc City Mayor Lucy Torres.
Mayor Lucy has been serving the people of Ormoc for many years already. In the past, she served as the representative of her hometown. After her term as a congresswoman, she ran for mayor, and once again, her fellow Ormoc residents chose her.
Just recently, Ormoc City had a special guest. PBBM visited Mayor Lucy’s city to hand over the ambulances for the local government unit, and during his speech, the Chief Executive of the Philippines had a funny statement.
Based on the article in Abante, Pres. Bongbong Marcos, during his speech, greeted the government officials, including Mayor Lucy Torres. PBBM mentioned that the Ormoc City Mayor would always say that he is kind to her, but this came as a fact that she is kind to him.
āGood morning to everyone. Ang ating mga gobernador, kanilang mga representative that have come here and of course our City Mayor [Lucy Torres-Gomez]. I will have to correct you, you say Iām always kind. Iām only always kind to you the other people Iām not kind. Kasi mabait ka sa akin, eh, so mabait din ako sa āyo,ā the President said.
It was said that this made Mayor Lucy smile, and people of Ormoc City also liked this comment from the President.
In his speech, PBBM also mentioned that he hopes the ambulances, which will be distributed to other places in Eastern Visayas, will be a big help in immediate response.
Meanwhile, in a recent statement, Pres. Bongbong Marcos called on the younger generation of Filipinos to be critical thinkers when it comes to accessing information online. The Chief Executive highlighted the value of getting aware of what people can consume online and how the information should be checked.
