MIXED OIL PRICE ADJUSTMENTS: Gasoline Prices to Increase, Diesel & Kerosene to Roll Back This Week
OIL PRICE UPDATE – Various fuel companies in the country are set to impose mixed oil price adjustments this week.
Starting at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, Shell and Seaoil will implement a P0.60 hike per liter of gasoline, while cutting diesel by P0.80 and kerosene by P0.90 centavos. Cleanfuel and Petro Gazz will apply the same increases and rollbacks, except for kerosene which they do not carry.
Cleanfuel’s adjustments will begin slightly later, at 8:01 a.m. Other fuel firms are expected to follow the same changes in the coming days.

The announcement brings both relief and frustration to drivers. Gasoline users will have to shell out more, but those relying on diesel and kerosene can breathe a little easier with lower prices for the second week in a row. Just last week, prices dropped by P0.40 for gasoline, P1.50 for diesel, and P1.30 for kerosene.
According to the Department of Energy, the movement in local pump prices is mainly influenced by the international oil market. Global supply has been growing, demand has weakened, and tensions between the United States and China have eased, all of which contributed to downward pressure on crude.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration has also projected that oil prices may continue to soften toward the end of the year.

Despite these recent rollbacks, overall prices are still higher compared to the start of the year. As of August 12, gasoline has increased by a total of P10.80 per liter, diesel by P12.75, and kerosene by P2.65.
