Rumors have been circulating online about an alleged secret wedding between Gerald Anderson and singer-actress Gigi De Lana, along with claims that the two are hiding a child. In the latest episode of Showbiz Updates, showbiz insider Ogie Diaz called out those spreading false information about the pair.
“Lihim daw kinasal si Gerald kay Gigi De Lana. Mayro’n daw silang sikretong anak. Tinatago raw nila. May ganyan. At ang nakakaloka dito, lihim daw ‘yong pagbubuntis ni Arci Muñoz o nanganak si Arci Muñoz courtesy of Gerald Anderson,” Ogie said.
He went on to express frustration over the persistence of these unfounded claims. “Diyos ko, nakakaloka kayo! Talagang pinipilit n’yo talaga ‘yan. Naku, ‘pag kayo na-report talaga, promise. ‘Yang pinaghirapan n’yong number of followers, mawawala ‘yan,” he warned.
Gerald and Gigi previously worked together in the ABS-CBN series Dear Heart during the height of the pandemic. Meanwhile, Gerald also starred with Arci Muñoz in the films Always Be My Maybe and Can We Still Be Friends.
Despite the growing buzz online, there is no truth to the rumors involving the mentioned celebrities. In reality, Gerald is currently in a relationship with actress Julia Barretto. In an earlier interview, he admitted that he hopes to settle down with her someday.
“I’m closer to that,” he said. “Kasi kung 5, 3 years ago, tanungin n’yo sa ’kin ’yan, ’Hindi, hindi.’ But syempre, that’s why I’m doing all of this kasi gusto ko maalagaan ’yong mga anak ko na wala silang iisipin.”
Although speculations have also surfaced suggesting that Gerald and Julia have broken up, the actor addressed and denied such claims. He clarified his relationship status during an appearance on Toni Talks in June.
For now, Gerald, Gigi, and Arci remain focused on their respective careers, choosing to let the truth speak for itself while ignoring baseless gossip that continues to spread on social media.
