Lady Netizen Judged by Coworkers for Her Eating Out Habit During Office Days
A lady netizen shared how she was being quietly judged by her coworkers because she enjoys dining out during their office days.
Recently, No-Manufacturer5693, a Reddit user, explained that her work setup is mostly remote, and they are only required to report to the office twice a month. The office is located in a mall in Cubao, which makes it easy for her to explore food options nearby.
Every time they work onsite, she chooses to eat out instead of bringing packed meals like most of her teammates. She admitted to being a picky eater since childhood and doesn’t mind spending a little more for food that she truly enjoys.
To her, it’s a simple way to reward herself with something good, especially when it’s only twice a month.
However, her coworkers seem to think otherwise. According to her, some of them started talking behind her back, calling her wasteful. One even posted a subtle dig on Facebook, questioning her lifestyle and implying she must be wealthy.
The woman made it clear that she never pressures anyone to join her. In fact, she only goes with the group if they invite her to fast food. Otherwise, she eats on her own without making a fuss.

“So ayun nakarating lang sakin to from my boss na naiinis sakin mga ka-team ko kasi mahilig daw ako mag eat out sa labas kapag mag oonsite kami. Primarily work from home ang set up namin and required lang kami pumasok 2 times a month sa office. And yung office located sa mall area sa Cubao. Napapansin daw nila na kada mag oonsite kami di ako nagbabaon ng food and I always eat out. They find it magastos daw, pero picky eater kasi talaga ko since bata pa ko. I wouldn’t mind to splurge basta masarap yung food. And twice a month lang naman yon. Like last week daw nag Ramen daw ako while karamihan sakanila nagbaon and yun 3 nag mcdo. Naprepresure daw sila sakin na gumastos. Eh di ko naman sila inaaya to eat out eh kasi may baon sila pero pag mag aaya sila mag fast food sumasama naman ako. Then ayun nagpopost yun isang kawork ko ng parinig sa fb, “Sino nagsabing kumain ka sa labas kada papasok sa work, Anak mayaman ka?”. Unang una di ko hinihingi sainyo panggastos ko. Pangalawa, ang palaki sakin ng mga magulang ko wag ko daw titipirin ang sarili ko lalo na sa pagkain dahil pinaghirapan ko ang perang panggastos ko. Pangatlo, magkaiba tayo ng way of life.
