Sofronio Vasquez Teams Up w/ Michael Bublé for Star-Studded EP
SOFRONIO VASQUEZ – Singer Sofronio Vasquez is making waves once again—this time, with an upcoming EP produced by none other than Michael Bublé.
A remarkable musical milestone awaits Sofronio Vasquez as he teams up with his The Voice USA coach, Michael Bublé, for a new extended play (EP) album.
During a press conference for his upcoming BRAVO! Manila Concert—where he will perform alongside Jed Madela and Bituin Escalante—Sofronio made an exciting announcement: “I’m excited to share that Michael Bublé is producing my EP,” he told entertainment reporters.

The EP is set to be released before the holiday season, although Sofronio has yet to reveal its official title. Giving a glimpse into what’s to come, he shared, “Nagawa na namin ‘yung ibang songs,” and added, “But I think [based on our] last conversation, ang unang ilalabas is Christmas song. It’s a duet Christmas song with me and him, and we’re doing an English-Tagalog song.”
Sofronio also proudly revealed that he contributed to the songwriting process, penning some of the Tagalog lyrics himself. “Nakaka-excite and nakakatuwa kasi I did my part,” he said. “First time, I wrote the Tagalog lyrics of it, with the help of the musicians [and] songwriters in Manila, nagpa-consult ako kasi hindi ako masyadong magaling.”
Aside from the collaboration with Bublé, the 32-year-old singer hinted at more big names involved in the project. He mentioned potential songs with renowned artists David Foster and Paul Anka, though he withheld further details.
Sofronio also shared, “Nag-record na kami ng five songs pero meron pang isang song na isusulat talaga ni Michael Bublé for me.”
In addition to their musical partnership, Sofronio is hopeful that Michael Bublé will make a special appearance in one of his concerts in the Philippines. “Excited na rin talaga siyang kumanta dito. Sabi ko sa kanya, the last time you were in the Philippines was I think, PICC. So hopefully he comes here,” he said.

Reflecting on his mentor’s wisdom, Sofronio shared a guiding principle from Michael: “Sabi niya (Michael), (it) doesn’t mean you can, you should.”
Sofronio etched his name in history in 2024 by becoming the first Filipino and Asian to win The Voice USA during its 26th season.
