Sarah Geronimo and SB19’s collaboration excites fans
Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo and P-pop Kings SB19 released the official music film of ‘Umaaligid’ featuring an intriguing story.
Sarah and SB19’s collaboration is one of the most anticipated musical events in the pop scene in the Philippines. Previously, they collaborated on Acer’s theme song Ace Your World in 2023.
Last year, Sarah and SB19 had already teased their new collaboration. After months of waiting, fans of the Popstar Royalty and the P-pop Kings excitedly welcomed the new song.
Umaaligid was officially released on July 30, and it was immediately followed by a music film. More than just a music video, Sarah Geronimo and SB19 featured an intriguing storyline.
As the song narrates about impending danger and the warning to be cautious and aware of the surroundings, the music film featured a murder mystery story.
In the 10-minute video posted on Sarah’s YouTube channel, SB19 members played distinct roles. Ken’s character is the “Master of the Game”, while Stell is the “Anxious host.”
Josh’s character is someone who could be the “ride-or-die.” The “fragile” character was given to Justin, and Pablo gave life to the character of the “loyal ex.” Sarah’s character is the “protector.”
They were accused of murdering “Victor,” the annoying character in the music film, who did something nasty things against them. Inside the investigation room, the six suspects admitted that they had committed the crime. The ending frame showed that the suspects surround the lifeless body of “Victor.”
Fans of Sarah and SB19 gush over the song and the music film. “First time ko manood ng music video na kinakabahan. murder mystery pala ito haha…next episode when po? hehe” a netizen commented.
Umaaligid was released under Sarah Geronimo and Matteo Guidicelli’s new music label G Music, which produced the music film as well.
