In his fourth State of the Nation Address (SONA), President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. reported to the public the accomplishments of his administration and outlined the plans he has for the remaining years of his presidency. His roadmap is anchored on poverty alleviation, economic resilience, energy access, agricultural support, and education reform.

PHP 113B Allocated For the PHP 20 Rice Program
This would be implemented nationwide after they have proved that they can bring down rice prices to PHP 20 per kilo without incurring losses for farmers. The program has already been rolled out in San Juan, Pangasinan, Cavite, Occidental Mindoro, Cebu, Bacolod, Guimaras, Siquijor, and Davao Del Sur.
Corruption in flood control projects
The president left a stern and firm warning to those involved in corrupting public funds, which left the public enduring severe floods in recent days. His strong statement against corruption was widely applauded.
“Mahiya naman kayo sa mga kabahayan nating naanod o nalubog sa mga pagbaha! Mahiya naman kayo lalo sa mga anak natin na magmamana sa mga utang na ginawa ninyo, na binulsa niyo lang ang pera,” he said.
Probe into the case of missing sabungeros
According to the president, the administration is working to solve the case of the missing cockfighting enthusiasts, with a vow that those people behind the mysterious disappearances will be held accountable.
“Nagtutulungan ang buong pamahalaan para lutasin ang mga kaso ng mga nawawala dahil sa walang pakundangang kagagawan ng mga sindikato sa likod ng madilim na mundo ng mga sabungan,” Marcos said during his fourth SONA.
Laptops for teachers, other school gadgets will be delivered
Marcos gave assurance that the promised laptops and gadgets will be delivered soon, highlighting them as part of the government’s ongoing investments to support and meet the educational needs of students.
‘Zero billing’ in DOH hospitals
As part of the government’s efforts to improve the country’s healthcare system, Filipino patients will no longer need to pay for basic accommodation services in Department of Health (DOH) hospitals, following the administration’s launch of its “zero balance billing” initiative.
Several other issues were also discussed, such as the issues in the national budget, foreign policy, ASEAN chairmanship for 2026, construction of the Bataan-Cavite Bridge, rehab of major bridges, Dalian trains for the MRT-3, power plants, and water services.
