Prisoners Temporarily Released to Serve at Police Officer’s Wedding
A police officer in Argentina is facing consequences after being found guilty of abusing his authority during his wedding.

Last year, the officer decided to temporarily release four prisoners from jail to work at his wedding celebration. These inmates were made to cook, serve food, and clean the venue during the event.
After the celebration ended, the prisoners were returned to the facility without incident, and luckily, none of them attempted to escape.
While it may have seemed like a harmless favor to some, his act drew serious criticism. The officer used his position to allow inmates out of prison without proper legal approval, putting public safety at risk. Authorities viewed it as an abuse of power and a violation of protocol.
As a result, the police officer received a five-month suspended prison sentence. This means he won’t be serving time behind bars but will still carry the consequences on his record.
The ruling reminds the public that holding a position of power comes with responsibility, and bending the rules for personal convenience is not acceptable.
The incident prompted many people to question how such a decision was allowed in the first place. It also raised concerns about prison security and how easily inmates were used outside the facility for non-official purposes.
