Luis Manzano talked about being a father
Kapamilya host Luis Manzano remembered the moment when he first held his daughter Baby Rosie, whom they fondly call Peanut.
Luis and his wife, actress Jessy Mendiola, welcomed their beautiful daughter in 2022, a year after they tied the knot. As first-time parents, the celebrity couple is very hands-on.
In a recent interview on the YouTube channel of Kapamilya journalist Bernadette Sembrano, the TV host was asked about being a father.
Luis Manzano shared what he felt when he first saw their baby. He admitted that he really cried. To recall, the TV host’s video showing that he was crying during their wedding went viral.
“Umiyak ako. When things slowed down kasi nagpapahinga si Howhow (tawag niya kay Jessy) kasi CS siya, so there was one time na hawak-hawak ko si Peanut,” he shared.
When he first held his daughter, who was sleeping, Luis felt that everything slowed down for a bit. Looking at Baby Rosie’s face, he got emotional. He felt that way because he really prayed for their baby. They had been waiting for their bundle of joy for quite a long time when Jessy was pregnant.
As a first-time father, Luis Manzano said that he felt a melting pot of emotions, but the final product would always be love.
The Kapamilya host also admitted that he somehow felt nervous being a first-time dad. He was excited, but he was also worried about what the future would bring to them since at that time, it was still the pandemic.
“Pero ‘yung excitement, ‘yung love, everything. I think pretty much everything na maisip mong emotion mararasanan mo ‘pag may anak na,” he added.
Their bundle of joy is not three years old, and she has been bringing happiness to her parents. Luis and Jessy are fond of sharing photos and videos of their baby Rosie on their social media pages.
