Cristry Fermin is facing arrest for the case filed by Bea Alonzo
A-list actress Bea Alonzo continues to fight for her rights with her cyber libel case she filed against veteran showbiz insider Cristy Fermin.
To recall, in May 2024, Bea filed a cyber libel case against Cristy and her co-hosts Rommel Chika and Wendell Alvarez on her YouTube talk show Showbiz Now Na.
The actress said that the showbiz insider had “false, malicious, and damaging information” against her that was aired on her YouTube show.

Back then, the breakup between Bea Alonzo and Dominic Roque was a trending topic. Cristy Fermin and her co-hosts talked about this on their show, as well as the allegation that the actress failed to file her taxes, and she was facing a labor case filed by her former driver.
“[Bea] asserted her right to proceed with filing these criminal cases against the individuals responsible for making all of these damaging statements against her,” the lawyer of the actress said, based on the article in the Inquirer.
Cristy reiterated that she and her co-hosts fairly discussed the topics about Bea. The showbiz insider also advised the actress not to be so sensitive or “balat sibuyas.”

The Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 93 released a court order on July 21, 2025, signed by Presiding Judge Cherry Chiara Hernando, who ruled there was “probable cause to hold the accused for trial.” They were required to pay the bail worth P48,000 each.
Bea Alonzo also filed a cyber libel complaint against talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz, who also has a YouTube show titled Showbiz Update. Reportedly, the actress also filed the same case against an unnamed person who allegedly represented her.
Meanwhile, Bea Alonzo has been inactive in her acting career for several months now. The last TV series that she did was Widow’s War, which aired from July 2024 until January 2025. She is currently linked to Puregold CEO Vincent Co, and rumors surfaced that they will tie the knot in October this year.
