President Marcos to Bring Back ‘Love Bus’ and Now It’s for Free
President Marcos announced that he will bring back the iconic “Love Bus” and passengers can ride it for free.
During his fourth State of the Nation Address (SONA), President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. shared that he’s bringing back the “Love Bus,” and this time, passengers can ride it for free.
The “Love Bus” was a popular mode of public transportation in Metro Manila back in the 1970s. Known for being air-conditioned and more comfortable than regular buses, it became a favorite among commuters during its time.

President Marcos wants to revive it to help ease the daily struggles of the commuting public. According to him, the free Love Bus rides will first be rolled out in Davao and Cebu. After that, the program will be expanded to other areas in the Visayas and Mindanao.
The goal is to give Filipinos better and more convenient public transportation, especially in key cities where traffic and travel costs continue to be a challenge.
Aside from the return of the Love Bus, the President also mentioned the reintroduction of Dalian trains to the MRT-3. He said that three of the train cars are already in use, and more units out of the 45 are expected to be operational before the year ends. The rest will follow in the coming year.

The transportation efforts aim to improve the daily commute of Filipinos, offering safer, faster, and more affordable travel options.
Many people are hoping that the upgraded services will reduce the stress of commuters.
