The weather will be favorable for PBBM’s SONA 2025 – PAGASA
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said that a low chance of rain is expected during the SONA 2025 of President Bongbong Marcos.
PBBM’s 4th State of the Nation Address is set to happen on Monday, July 28, 2025. Days before this event, different government agencies had started preparing. Through this, the President will address pressing issues in the country, as well as his future plans.
However, PBBM had to order the halt of the preparation amid the recent typhoon that hit the country. For many days, the Philippines, especially the Metro Manila area, suffered from flooding due to typhoons and the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat.
Many areas in Luzon are still suffering from bad weather. However, on Monday, PAGASA said that a low chance of rain is expected, based on the article in Bandera.
“In the National Capital Region or Metro Manila, where our president’s Sona will be held, we expect a relatively low chance of rain from morning to noon, while thunderstorms caused by localized thunderstorms are possible in the afternoon to evening,” Obet Badrina, a weather specialist, said.
However, it is expected that the western part of Luzon, such as the Ilocos Region, Abra, Zambales, Bataan, and Occidental Mindoro, will experience rain due to the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat.
Other parts of the country are expected to have fair weather, except for possible isolated rain showers and thunderstorms. Regarding the weather disturbance outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), Badrina said that these are expected to be out of the country’s boundary in the next days.
Meanwhile, a few days ago, Senator Bato dela Rosa expressed that he will skip the SONA 2025 because he does not want to pretend to smile during the event. The senator is a known ally of Vice President Sara Duterte and her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte.
