In 2022, multi-awarded actress Angel Locsin consciously stepped away from the limelight and social media. She went on a social media hiatus, and the last post she shared was in August 2022. She remained inactive online for nearly two and a half years.
According to friend and fellow actress Dimples Romana, Angel accordingly chose this path to have a break and have a simpler, less stressful life. Dimples emphasized that Angel is “very much happier” living a quieter life offline.
The latest news about her was her father’s death. The last project she did was “The General’s Daughter,” which aired in 2019. In January 2025, Angel’s X account was hacked, which was retrieved after some time. It was her first online activity, and recently, she broke her Instagram hiatus when she shared a story about Joaquin Arce.
She congratulated the newbie and expressed how excited she is to be working with him soon. This single post has sparked hope among her fans regarding her comeback. As much as we all know, despite her silence, she remained relevant and trending, as a lot of people have missed her.
Her IG story stated, “Me, your mom, and your dad are very proud of you… can’t wait to work with you.”
Joaquin Arce is her stepson. Her husband is Neil Arce, and Joaquin is set to join the new generation of stars under the talent agency, Star Magic.
