Here’s the statement of President Bongbong Marcos urging people to follow advisories.
President Bongbong Marcos urged Filipinos to follow government advisories as the country suffers from massive flash floods and persistent rains.
Thousands have been rescued and displaced as thousands of people suffer from the effects of Severe Tropical Storm Crising (international name Wipha) and the enhanced southwest monsoon. It brought continuous rains in several parts of the country, which resulted in massive and deep floods.

The Marikina River from Alarm Level 2 reached Alarm Level 3, which means forced evacuation of people in high-risk communities.
Recently, as the bad weather is expected to continue with habagat and two more low pressure areas (LPA) spotted inside the PAR, President Bongbong Marcos has made this statement with a reminder to the people.
Marcos is currently in Washington for his first official meeting with US President Donald Trump, and through a video, he encouraged the people to heed the advisories from the government for their safety.
He assured that the government will always be there to address the needs of the displaced individuals and to extend help to those who suffered damages.

Despite being absent physically, he shared that he has already reminded the government agencies to work and to ensure the safety of the people. He instructed them to address the needs of affected residents.
Meanwhile, due to the persistent rains in the coming days, the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) declared class suspensions in the following areas as recommended by the Office of Civil Defense and Cabinet:
- Metro Manila
- Zambales
- Bataan
- Pampanga
- Bulacan
- Cavite
- Batangas
- Rizal
- Pangasinan
- Tarlac
- Occidental Mindoro
Several local government units also announced class suspensions on July 22, 2025, in separate advisories.

. . . force majeur is inevitable: landslide susceptible areas and flashflood prone places should be free from residential habitation.
