A fur mommy went viral and received praise online for not leaving her beloved pets behind during a flood.
Recently, Irene Arpon Pasaylo, a Facebook user, shared a video and photos of her dogs, showing how she chose to stay with them even as floodwaters entered their home. Her post quickly spread online and elicits various reactions from netizens.
Amid rising floodwaters, the devoted fur mommy from Taguig chooses to stay behind and care for her pets instead of leaving them behind.
Knee-deep water had already entered their house, forcing her 40 dogs and 8 cats to climb tables, chairs, and countertops just to stay dry. While her family had already evacuated to safety, Irene chose to remain behind to look after her rescued animals.
Pasaylo explained that she couldn’t find it in her heart to abandon them, especially during such a dangerous time.
In the photos, her pets could be seen huddled together, trying to stay above the floodwaters. Some were perched on furniture while others stayed close to her, seemingly aware that she was doing everything she could to protect them.
Irene is now asking for help from rescue teams to ensure the safety of her pets. While the flood continued to rise, she stayed calm and focused on keeping her furry companions safe.
