Barbie Forteza talked about her new movie

Barbie is one of the drama actresses of GMA. She has been showcasing her acting prowess with the amazing projects given to her. The Kapuso actress has a new project. It is a mind-bending horror movie under GMA Pictures.
In a recent interview, based on the article in GMA, Barbie shared how she approached her character Luna.
The actress shared that she took inspiration from an international movie. She shared that it was her friend and Pulang Araw co-star Karenina Haniel who introduced her to the movie Dancer in the Dark.
“Lagi kasi akong kumukuha ng reference sa mga pelikula, sa mga artista. ‘Yung friend ko, si Karenina Haniel, co-actor ko siya sa ‘Pulang Araw.’ Sabi niya, ‘Mare, panoorin mo ‘yung Dancer in the Dark,” Barbie Forteza shared.
The movie was released in 2000, and it was a musical psychological tragedy. It starred Bjork, who played the character of a factory worker who has an eye illness.
Barbie said that it was a good character because it showed fragility and resilience. This is what she saw in Luna. For her, the Dancer in the Dark was a perfect recommendation.
From there, she formulated her Luna character. Barbie said that Luna is not weak but fragile. Luna has many unresolved issues internally. This is where her fragility came from.
In P77, Barbie’s character is a breadwinner. She needed to accept the job in P77 after her mother had just disappeared without a trace. The movie is set to be released on July 30.
