Paranormal Investigator Lost His Life During Haunted Annabelle Doll Tour
A popular paranormal investigator died suddenly while hosting a tour featuring the infamous haunted doll, “Annabelle.”
Dan Rivera, senior lead investigator for the New England Society for Psychic Research (NESPR), passed away on July 13 at the age of 54. His death occurred while he was part of the “Devils on the Run Tour” in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, a public event that allowed guests to encounter the original Annabelle doll.
At around 8 PM, emergency responders were called to a hotel where Rivera was staying after reports that CPR was being performed on a man matching his description. According to the Adams County Coroner’s Office, there were no signs of foul play, and Rivera was alone in his room when found unresponsive.

The exact cause of his death is still unknown pending autopsy results, which may take up to 90 days.
Rivera’s passing has sparked eerie speculations due to the nature of the tour and the doll’s dark history. The Annabelle doll first gained notoriety in 1968 when a nursing student received it as a gift.
Strange incidents reportedly began shortly after, leading to claims that the doll was possessed not by a ghost, but by a demonic entity.

Ed and Lorraine Warren, legendary paranormal investigators and mentors of Rivera, took custody of the doll and secured it inside a glass case to prevent further harm. The Devils on the Run Tour was created as a tribute to their legacy, with Rivera serving as the key speaker.
Though authorities found no supernatural cause behind Rivera’s death, questions remain. With his sudden passing and no confirmed locations of the Annabelle doll after the incident, the mystery only deepens.
