Here’s an update about the search of missing sabungeros in Taal Lake.
The search continues for the missing sabungeros in Taal Lake and two more sacks with human bones were found.
Necessary steps are now being done to find the several sabungeros who mysteriously disappeared years ago. The search have already started and this was made possible following the confessions of Julie Patidongan, alias “Totoy.”

According to his confessions, businessman Atong Ang is the mastermind behind the disappearances and he also alleged that Gretchen Barretto is involved. Moreover, the sabungeros were allegedly killed and dumped into Taal Lake. Something heavy was also tied with them to ensure that they reach the bed of the waters.
As the search began, several sacks were found containing bones and experts have confirmed that the objects found were a combination of human and animal bones.
Recently, according to Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla, there were two more sacks with human bones were found. It has sand contents that appeared to have been used to act as weight for it to sink.
“Two sacks were found and we don’t know how many people it belong to, ito iyong cursory examination, that there are human remains,” Remulla said.
According to the justice secretary, what happened strengthened the narration of the whistleblower.
He added, “Iyong today, nahanap sa quadrant na iyon sa Taal Lake is a positive indication that he knew what he was talking about kasi nga andito nahanap, apat na sako iyan, dalawang sakong buhangin at dalawang sako containing remains.”
Meanwhile, in a previous article, people alleged that the sacks were planted. PCG spokesperson Captain Noemie Guirao-Cayabyab expressed sadness over the allegations.
“Nakakalungkot ‘yung ganyang mga allegations. Again in our everyday operations, we are compromising the lives of our technical divers so we are just here to support the lead agency and of course bigyan ng hustisya sa pamamagitan ng pagbibigay ng ganitong ebidensya para mailbaas ‘yang katotohanan,” Cayabyab said.
