Vice Pres. Sara Duterte was impeached by the House of Representatives last February 5 following a series of hearings about the alleged misuse of her Confidential Funds. However, the Vice President snubbed most of the hearings.

However, the impeachment trial has yet to start. The Senate impeachment court decided to return the Articles of Impeachment against the Vice President for constitutionality issues. The Senate also required a reconfirmation from the 20th Congress.

Currently, there are different speculations on whether or not the impeachment trial will push through. Previously, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte claimed that she will answer about the issue about her Confidential Funds “publicly” if the trial won’t push through.
