Ryza Cenon Reveals She Didn’t Intend To Join StarStruck

Ryza Cenon talked about her StarStruck journey

Actress Ryza Cenon revealed that she did not plan her StarStruck audition for the second season of the Kapuso talent search.

Ryza has come a long way since she joined that talent search, as she was given a lot of projects under GMA. Eventually, she decided to transfer to ABS-CBN, where she continued showcasing her acting caliber.

The actress returned to GMA just recently for her Fast Talk with Boy Abunda interview, in which she admitted that she did not expect that she would be the Ultimate Female Star of ‘StarStruck’ Season 2 in 2004.

It was because it was not her initial dream to be in the entertainment industry. Ryza Cenon shared that they carried everything that they learned from the talent search.

However, at that time, she did not expect that she would win because she was an introvert. Ryza was too shy to participate during challenges and she was just okay. She also shared that she thought her batchmate LJ Reyes would win, who frequently topped the challenges.

LJ became the First Princess. Ryza did not expect that she would reach the top, and it was more surprising for her to be the Ultimate Female Survivor.

She shared that it was really her cousin who wanted to join the audition. She was just there as a companion. However, her cousin was not yet 16 years old at that time. “Ako po ‘yung pasok sa age. Sayang daw po ‘yung punta so ako na lang daw po ‘yung mag-audition,” Ryza Cenon shared.

Meanwhile, Ryza also shared that she is happy with what her career has gone through. Seven years after she transferred to the Kapamilya network, the actress said that she was nervous and excited to return to GMA.
