Klarisse de Guzman Admits She Had A Feeling Of “Napag-iwanan”

Klarisse de Guzman almost gave up her singing career

Kapamilya singer Klarisse de Guzman revealed that she had a feeling of “napag-iwanan” because of her career.

Klarisse was the first runner-up of the first season of The Voice of the Philippines in 2013. The big winner at that time was Mitoy Yonting, who was under the team of Broadway Diva Lea Salonga.

Following that televised singing competition, Klarisse released some songs and appeared on different Kapamilya shows. She also had a chance to be one of the hurados of Tawag ng Tanghalan on It’s Showtime.

However, she became more popular after she was chosen to be one of the housemates in Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition. Many viewers loved her personality inside the PBB house and how she dealt with other housemates.

She also received admiration when she openly talked about her gender preference. Klarisse de Guzman admitted that she is bis=xual and she has had a partner for many years now. She received support for her revelation.

Many fans of the reality show wanted her to be the big winner and her PBB partner, Kapuso star Shuvee Etrata. However, they were evicted and weren’t able to be part of the big four.

In a recent vlog that Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda shared on his YouTube channel, she had a cooking session with Klarisse. While cooking the dish, they had a conversation about the singer’s career.

Vice asked Klarisse if there was a time when she felt that she was being left out by her contemporaries. “Yes, Meme. Nandun ’yung mga times na kapag lalabas kami, feeling ko, ako ’yung ‘di nila kilala… Ang bobongga na ng career nila, solo concerts, tour. Ako, feeling ko, nandun lang, kumbaga second option,” the singer said.

Klarisse also shared that the process was not easy, to the point that she almost gave up and she thought of just finding another career. Good thing that the singer continued with her singing career and eventually, she found her own spotlight.

The singer remained strong in her faith. “Totoo talagang may perfect timing si God para sa lahat,” she said.
