Ronnie Liang is now under Sparkle
Singer-actor Ronnie Liang expressed happiness at being able to return to the Kapuso network.
Ronnie rose to fame after he was hailed as the second runner-up in ABS-CBN’s defunct singing contest Pinoy Dream Academy in 2006. From that, he became a Kapamilya and did various shows.
However, before this happened, he joined the Kapuso talent search Pinoy Pop Superstar, in the same year. Unfortunately, Ronnie was disqualified and it was because he already had a manager at that time, which was not allowed by the show’s rules.

In a recent interview, based on the article in PEP, Ronnie Liang shared that he has returned to GMA. He signed a contract with Sparkle GMA Artist Center. The singer-actor shared that he signed a new contract with the Kapuso network late last year.
“I’m so happy that nakauwi ako ulit sa dati kong tahanan, like a prodigal son,” he said, but stressed that he is a good son.
He is happy to be in GMA. He already had several appearances in Kapuso shows such as Abot Kamay Na Pangarap, Pulang Araw, TiktoClock, All-Out Sundays, Binibining Marikit, and Wish Ko lang, since he signed a contract in October 2024.
Although his characters were not leading roles, he is glad that these were pivotal roles that would remain in the minds of the viewers. He is thankful that GMA trusted him.

Now that he is under GMA, it would be easy for him to have his appearance on various Kapuso shows. He felt like he had a second wave in showbiz at 40. People recall him, and his career was revived.
Despite what happened in the past, Ronnie Liang is thankful that GMA accepted him again, even though that was not really his fault and it was not intentional. He respected GMA’s decision when he was disqualified from Pinoy Pop Superstar.
“Actually na-teary-eyed ako na nahiya ako dahil nga sa nangyari, pero sa kabila noon tinanggap nila ako. At parang iyon nga, thankful ako na tinanggap nila akong muli ng dalawang kamay,” the singer-actor said.
