Content creator Josh Mojica apologized after the Land Transportation Office (LTO) suspended his license after doing this.
The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has suspended the license of content creator and businessman Josh Mojica. He is the man behind the success of kangkong chips. Mojica from Cavite started cooking kangkong chips in June 2021. With the help of his friends, he was able to earn a huge amount, and a year later, he accomplished his first million in earnings.
Recently, he created a loud buzz online, not for his business, but for an offense he committed that led to the suspension of his license.
The content creator recorded himself using his cellphone while driving a Porsche sports car on a highway. Land Transportation Office (LTO) Chief Assistant Secretary Vigor Mendoza II saw the video, and it was clear in the video that he violated road safety rules.
“We already suspended the driver’s license of the identified driver for 90 days pending the result of the investigation,” Mendoza said. The driver is liable for at least three charges: reckless driving, violation of the Anti-Distracted Driving Act (Sec. 4 of R.A. No. 10913), and being an Improper Person to Operate a Motor Vehicle (Sec. 27 (a) of R.A. No. 4136).
After the consequences, Mojica issued a statement and admitted his fault. He confirmed that he has the Show Cause Order for using the gadget while driving. He is taking full accountability and responsibility for his mistake and understands the weight of the influence.
He expressed that it was just a moment to mark something he never thought would happen. It was a milestone for him, hence his desire to record it.
Mojica wrote, “To the youth watching: Don’t copy my mistake. Don’t copy the driving. Copy the mindset. Copy the grind. Copy the fact that I earned that car not the way I held the phone inside it. This is a lesson in accountability. In growth. I’m not perfect, I’m just committed to being better than I was yesterday.“
