Paolo Contis On Why He Calls Lolit Solis “My Enemy”

Kapuso actor Paolo Contis called the late showbiz writer-talent manager Lolit Solis “My Enemy” and here’s the reason behind this.

Paolo was just one of the stars who became a talent of Manay Lolit. Over the years, the late showbiz personality handled the careers of prominent names in the Philippine entertainment industry.

When Lolit passed away, celebrities shared their tribute posts to her and reminisced how she became part of their lives and careers, just like actor-politician Bong Revilla who highlighted the love and support from his former manager.

Paolo Contis also shared a post about Lolit Solis. After going to the wake, based on the article in Abante, the Kapuso actor shared photos on his social media page with the caption, “My Protector, My Enemy (sometimes), My NANAY! I love you.”

Abante entertainment writer Jun Lalin asked Paolo during the second night of the wake, what he meant about “My Enemy.” He laughed at the question as he recalled the “attack” that he received from his former manager.

“Alam mo naman si Nanay Lolit, ‘yung mga bira niya sa akin, iyon ang karinyo-brutal niya sa akin. Ganun lang naman si Nanay sa akin. Akala ng iba tinitira niya ako, pero lambing lang naman niya ‘yon sa akin. Iyon ang paalala niya sa akin!” Paolo said.

Lolit had shared write-ups against Paolo. She would blatantly criticize the actor and say something that is not so positive about him.

When Lalin jokingly asked if Paolo would build his house now, as Manay Lolit mentioned in the past that the actor has not built his own house with his years in showbiz, he answered, “Hahaha. Soon.”

The entertainment writer also shared that Lolit’s coffin was closed and when Paolo arrived he ordered that it should be opened. Paolo Contis also shared that it was entertainment writer Gorgy Rula who informed him that Lolit Solis passed away.

“Nang magising ako dahil sa tawag ni Gorgy (Rula) at sinabing wala na si Nanay, I was stunned. Hindi ako nakakibo. Tapos nahirapan na ako makatulog. Then nang magising uli ako, saka ako naiyak. Hindi ko pa rin matanggap na wala na siya,” Paolo said.
