Man Runs Amok Inside Fast Food Chain in Cebu
A man who went wild and punched police officers and a security guard inside a fast-food chain in Mandaue City, Cebu has been arrested.
Recently, Lylyn Jandayan Bernaldez, a Facebook user, shared a video of a man going on a rampage and throwing punches at the police and a security guard. The post quickly went viral and garnered various reactions from netizens.
The incident happened on Thursday (July 3, 2025), just past noon. According to reports, the situation got out of hand when the man began shouting and acting aggressively inside the establishment.
The fast-food staff immediately called for help, prompting two policemen from the Bohol Tourist Police Unit in Panglao to respond. When the officers arrived, they tried to calm the man down, but he refused to cooperate. Instead, he continued shouting and even dared the officers to fight him.
Unfortunately, things get worse when the suspect suddenly punches one of the policemen in the mouth, endangering both the customers and employees present.
Despite his resistance, the officers managed to control the suspect and arrest him. He was then brought to the Panglao Police Station where he was informed of his rights.
Bohol Police Provincial Office director, PCOL Arnel Banzon, praised the quick action of the officers and their proper handling of the situation based on police procedures. He also assured the public that their office remains committed to keeping peace and order, especially in areas often visited by locals and tourists.
The man’s aggressive behavior remains unclear, but authorities say they are open to any investigation that will help clarify the incident.
