Lorin Bektas planned to have a nose job; however, after hearing this, her plans backfired, and she did not push it through.
Nose jobs or rhinoplasty have been a trending method today to improve appearance. Cosmetic surgeries have become normal nowadays for valid personal reasons, unlike before, when people used to be conservative in procedures like this one.
Common concerns include a bump on the bridge, a drooping tip, or a nose that looks too wide or narrow. Lorin Bektas planned to do this as well, but it backfired after knowing the hefty amount the procedure required.
She was at first determined to get it, but after learning how much the procedure costs, she changed her mind.
In a recent TikTok live, the 21-year-old daughter of Ruffa Gutierrez with ex-husband Turkish businessman Yilmaz Bektas, talked about this while doing her makeup tutorial.
“I start calling plastic surgery offices in L.A. [Los Angeles], just curious, ‘Oh, what would the cost be?’ Please guess how much these people are quoting me: seventy-thousand dollars. Isn’t that like PHP3 million? Excuse me, I would rather look like Pinocchio for the rest of my life than pay that money,” she shared.
According to the current USD to PHP exchange rate, $70,000 is equivalent to PHP 3.9 million.
She is not ready to shell out this amount for her nose, and would rather spend the amount on branded things. She added that it could have been God’s way of telling her not to do it.
Lorin then went on explaining her concerns about her nose and why she wanted to do it abroad, “The thing with the Philippines, my nose is like not a Filipino nose. So, I feel like they wouldn’t know how to do it.”
With her nose, there are just slight tweaks she wanted to correct. She doesn’t need a major operation where they would have to break it and remove a bone. She wanted only to have the most subtle difference, and when given the quote, they are charging her $70,000.
