Camille Prats will always be known as “Princess Sarah”
Kapuso actress-host Camille Prats admitted something about her iconic Princess Sarah role.
Camille started her career in the entertainment industry at a young age. She was one of the famous child stars in the 90s. At a young age, she became an icon because she was chosen to portray Princess Sarah in the Pinoy movie adaptation of the hit animated series.
From that, Camille was able to portray different roles on television and in movies. Despite the many projects that she did, people would always remember her as Princess Sarah.
In a recent interview, based on the article in GMA Entertainment, Camille Prats shared that she took her acting projects after the Princess Sarah movie one at a time. She is thankful that she continues to do what she is doing because not everyone is given this kind of chance.
Camille admitted that one of the hardest parts while she was growing up was thinking about the responsibility she had to live out to because she was known as Princess Sarah.
“Sabi ko nga, growing up in the industry, people knew me as Princess Sarah. ‘Yun talaga ‘yung nakadikit sa’kin e. And at some point, I became an adult, may time sa buhay ko na napaisip ako na parang ‘Bakit hanggang ngayon, si Princess Sarah pa rin ang nakikita nila e ang tanda-tanda ko na,’” the actress-host said.
Camille shared that there were times when she wanted to do things that were far from her most iconic role, but eventually, she imposed that limitation on herself.
“Parang somehow, because I was aware of that, I also drew some boundaries sa sarili ko na ‘Op, hanggang dito ka lang.’ Siyempre parang I feel like there were also times in my life na gusto ko magrebelde, teenage years, siyempre iba ‘yan e,” Camille said.
Back then, she recalled that she was young and immature, and she wanted to try things. However, because she was carrying Princess Sarah’s image, she did not do those things.
On the other hand, Camille Prats said that because of Princess Sarah, she was guided to have the right choices in her life. The actress-host said that she had certain boundaries with the knowledge that people would look at her as a good example.
Camille admitted that she used to hate this, but now, for her, it is a blessing because she somehow had good life choices, as she is known as Princess Sarah.
