Fitness vlogger Rendon Labador expresses dismay over the removal.
Social media personality and fitness vlogger Rendon Labador was removed from the Police Community Affairs and Development Group’s (PCADG) fitness program.
Previously, fitness coach and motivational speaker Rendon Labador was given the role to lead the fitness and weight loss drive of the Philippine National Police (PNP). Labador was invited to help improve the overall health of the overweight PNP officers, but shortly after, he was removed.

The PNP-PCADG removed Labador as fitness coach, and this was confirmed by PNP spokesperson Brigadier General Jean Fajardo.
“According to General Saro, there was a misunderstanding in terms of the engagement with the concerned individual. Probably, na-excite lang siguro si Rendon nung magkausap sila, and the topic was brought up,” Fajardo said.
Following the decision, Labador reacted with dismay. According to him, he only learned about the decision on social media, and he is uncertain of the reason behind his removal from the weight loss initiative.
“Isang araw pala kami nag-training. Wala man lang nagsabi sa akin, nakita ko na lang sa news trending na tinanggal na pala ako,” said Labador in an interview.
He doesn’t know whether it has something to do with his program being tough and rushed or if he had made it seem his program was better than theirs. He added, “Pasensya na po, hindi ko po intention na matapakan kayo or ipakita na mas magaling yung programa ko. Nandoon po ako para tumulong sa ating kapulisan.”
Labador apologized to those who were unsatisfied with his proposed fitness regime. Initially, he was consulted by the PCADG as they geared up for the weight reduction program.
Meanwhile, the initiative is a 93-day weight loss program for police officers under the directive of PNP chief Gen. Nicolas Torre III. This way, the officers can strictly observe and stick to the weight requirements for police personnel.
