Jewel Mische recalled her StarStruck days
Former actress Jewel Mische revealed the past she had with Kapamilya actor Paulo Avelino.
Jewel rose to fame when she joined the Kapuso talent search StarStruck in 2006. She was hailed as the Ultimate Sweetheart and from that she was given opportunities that boosted her career in the entertainment industry.
In a recent interview on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, Jewel admitted that it was her mother who encouraged her to join showbiz. However, she said that when the time she auditioned she was already decided to be in the entertainment industry. Back then, Jewel said that she was misundestood. She was the quietest one and in order to avoid conflict, she would just isolate herself.
Jewel Mische’s last acting project was in 2013 for a drama anthology series. She chose a life away from the glitz and glamour of showbiz, and with her family. In 2016, she was interviewed by King of Talk Boy Abunda on his previous talk show.
During the Fast Talk interview on June 25, Jewel was asked what it was like to return to her home network. “It feels so surreal. I’m a bundle of nerves right now. I’m nervous, I’m excited, incredibly excited. Halo-halo,” she shared.
Tito Boy also asked the former actress about her suitors before. Jewel answered, “Medyo ilan-ilan sa kanila ang nag-show ng interes, pero yung seryoso talaga was Paulo.”
Paulo Avelino also joined the Kapuso talent search. Jewel said she and Paulo were really close. For her, the actor was her defender back then. “Siya yung talagang naka-close ko,” she added.
For a while, she and Paulo became loveteam partners. They almost became a couple but Jewel that they never became one. To recall, Jewel Mische had a relationship with actor Richard Gutierrez for a long time.
