Teen Group Gets Into Brawl Due to Jealousy in Ilocos Norte
A teen group got into a fight in the yard of a house in Solsona, Ilocos Norte due to jealousy, the incident was caught on CCTV.
On early Saturday morning (June 18, 2025), two vehicles arrived, a tricycle and a small cargo vehicle locally known as a “kolong-kolong.” As soon as they parked, a few teenagers from the tricycle rushed toward the other vehicle.
Without warning, they started punching the driver and passenger of the kolong-kolong. One of the attackers was even holding a baseball bat.
Luckily, some young women from the group stepped in to stop the fight. Their quick action helped end the commotion before things got worse. After the situation calmed down, the teenagers left the scene.
According to the police, those involved came from different barangays. Investigations revealed that jealousy was the root of the incident. One of the teens allegedly got jealous after his girlfriend was brought home by another boy, which led to the violent confrontation.
Three of the teenagers suffered injuries and are now recovering. The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is currently handling the case, making sure those involved receive the proper guidance and support.
Authorities are reminding the youth to manage their emotions and avoid violence. Jealousy and misunderstandings can easily turn into dangerous situations, especially when not handled properly.
