Netizens talked about this 2011 tweet that Klarisse de Guzman shared
Former Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition housemate Klarisse de Guzman had a “Piolo Bading” tweet in 2011 and this resurfaced just recently.
Klarisse rose to fame after becoming the first runner-up of the first season of The Voice of the Philippines which started airing in June 2013. After that, she was given a chance to be part of various shows on ABS-CBN. Among her most recent stints was being one of the judges of It’s Showtime’s Tawag ng Tanghalan.
Klarisse was chosen to be one of the celebrity housemates of the Kapamilya reality show for its celebrity edition featuring the stars of ABS-CBN and GMA.
Many viewers expressed dismay when Klarisse de Guzman and her partner Kapuso star Shuvee Etrata were evicted. Some celebrities, like Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda, also expressed support for the ShuKla duo as they wanted the tandem to be the big winners.
Somehow, an issue surfaced because of this as the supporters of other duos also stressed that the celebrities they were supporting deserved to be the big winners. It came to a point when Vice had to answer netizens who misinterpreted his tweets.
Amid the issue, the past controversial tweets that Klarisse de Guzman shared resurfaced. On November 27, 2011, the singer shared this tweet, “Piolo Bading.” It was not clarified who was the Piolo she was referring to.
Netizens also recalled the tweet that Klarisse shared on May 8, 2023, saying, “Gusto ko yung pink lipstick ni Piolo Pascual.”
With these, Klarisse received negative reactions. However, some netizens pointed out that this happened a long time ago and it was not right for people to judge Klarisse de Guzman because of her past tweets.
A netizen commented using the singer’s photo with Piolo Pascual. As of this writing, Klarisse has not spoken yet about her past tweets mentioning Piolo.
