There are no passers in Certified Plant Mechanics June 2025 (SPLE), and this has gone viral.

There were no passers in the Special Professional Licensure Examination (SPLE) for Certified Plant Mechanics in June 2025.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) released the results of the June 2025 Special Professional Licensure Examination (SPLE) for Mechanical Engineer (ME) and Certified Plant Mechanics (CPM) on Tuesday, June 17, 2025.

According to the announcement, 20 out of 74 (27.03%) have passed the June 2025 SPLE for Mechanical Engineers; however, no one passed the SPLE for CPM.

Both of the examinations were given by the Board of Mechanical Engineering (BME) composed of Engr. Jesus M. Redelosa, Chairman; Engr. Fernando S. Guevarra and Engr. Mirardo C. Malazarte, Jr., Members.

It was held on June 6, 7, and 8, 2025, in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, United Arab Emirates; Al-Khobar, Jeddah, and Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; Doha, Qatar; Manama, Bahrain; Salmiya, Kuwait; Singapore; and Taipei, Taiwan.

People online were amused by the zero passing rate of the examination, and they wondered how hard the exam must have been to have no passers. It was also found out that there was only one taker of the specific examination.

One commenter explained, “Special Professional Licensure Examination po. Para ito sa mga OFW residing in Middle East, Singapore, at Taiwan. Hindi katulad sa Pilipinas na madami ang takers.”

According to the website of the PRC, the SPLE, which was started in 1997, is a “measure of enhancing the employability and competitiveness of qualified OFWs.”

Meanwhile, the successful examinees must bring a downloaded, duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, notice of admission (for identification only), 2 pieces passport-sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag), 2 sets of documentary stamps, and 1 piece short brown envelope for initial registration.

They should personally register and sign the Roster of Registered Professionals.
