Rhian Ramos talked about Sam Verzosa’s political stint
Kapuso actress Rhian Ramos admitted that she was a bit heartbroken after her boyfriend Sam Verzosa’s unsuccessful attempt to be the mayor of Manila.
This was not the first time when Sam joined the political arena. Three years ago, he ran for representative under the Tutok To Win party-list. Fortunately, he won and served for one term.
For the 2025 elections, Sam decided to run for Manila Mayor. Previously, Rhian shared that she was a bit hesitant about Sam’s political stint. However, upon realizing her boyfriend’s intention, she fully supported him.

The actress joined her boyfriend’s campaign events. She also supported his projects as a public servant.
Unfortunately, Sam Verzosa did not succeed in this year’s election and Rhian Ramos was a “bit heartbroken” because of this. In a recent interview on the Kapuso afternoon talk show Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, the Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre shared what she felt about the election results.
“I have to say that I was a bit heartbroken for him because when you love someone, you don’t want them to be in pain. You don’t want to see them sad, and I was scared that he might get brokenhearted about it,” Rhian shared.

The actress also shared that her boyfriend quietly cried about this. “He had a good cry about it, but it’s understandable. He has every right to cry for himself for all the effort he poured into the campaign. He worked very hard every day,” she said.
In the mayoral race in Manila, actor-politician Isko Morena won with 529,507 votes, and incumbent Mayor Honey Lacuna was in second place with 190,315 votes. Sam Verzosa only got 164,047 which made him the last.
Meanwhile, Rhian Ramos is part of the new series Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre in which she portrayed a villain role. In a previous interview, she said that she believed that no one is born to do bad things.
