What caused the fatal crash?

As of this writing, the official cause of the accident has not been officially released; however, authorities noted what occurred ahead of the fatal crash. As reported, the aircraft left Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport for London Gatwick on June 12, 2025, at 1:38 PM local time.

It should have landed in London at 6:25 PM, but a few minutes after it took off, it crashed into a doctor’s hostel. A pilot told the BBC, “There would have been no time for him to react if he lost both engines.”

One sign that the plane acted oddly, according to pilots, was that its landing gear still seemed to be down after taking off. This is unusual.

Crash investigators can start their investigation to determine the cause through the airplane’s flight recorder, or what they call “black boxes.” This contains flight data and audio from the cockpit. As for this case, the two black boxes aboard the aircraft had been recovered.

It is vowed by the Ministry of Civil Aviation that “the root cause of the crash” and “contributing factors, including mechanical failure, human error, weather conditions, regulatory compliances, and other reasons” will be determined.

Based on a previous article, the India plane crash has one survivor, the sole survivor named Viswashkumar Ramesh.
