ABS-CBN star Bela Padilla writes this firm response to a netizen’s comment, bringing up a past rumor with Marian Rivera.
Several years ago, there was a rumored tension between actresses Bela Padilla and Marian Rivera on the set of “Endless Love.” The issue stemmed from her close and intimate scenes with Dingdong Dantes, who was just Marian’s boyfriend at that time.
Bela denied that Rivera became physical with her and clarified that she was only there for work. They only interact when they are working, and maintain a professional relationship as she knows that he has a girlfriend. There were even rumors before that she was locked in a CR by the Kapuso actress because the latter was jealous.
Recently, in a clip shared online featuring Padilla in an MMK episode, a commenter brought up the past issue, irrelevant to anything in the said clip. The Kapamilya actress responded, and she was angered by the comment.
According to her, the joke can be done if the post is just about her. However, the video isn’t as it was about a woman who went through an intense trauma, and added that the comment just reduced the real-life story because of the overused joke.
She wrote, “Do this joke when the post/photo/video is just about me. Artista naman ako eh, part of my job, diba? Not a video where I play a real woman who recently went through intense trauma. Imagine her going online and seeing you reduce her experience to your dumb, overused jokes.”
In the MMK episode, Padilla delivered a gripping performance that tackled the harrowing issue of human trafficking. She gave a performance nothing short of extraordinary.
